Epigenetics Postdoctoral position 2013 - United States

A postdoctoral position is available at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, in the laboratory of Dr. Shannath Merbs, to study the role of epigenetics in retinal development and ocular diseases such as glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration.  Applicants should be motivated and independent with strong communication and writing skills. Prior experience using epigenetic techniques and/or next gen sequencing is required. Applicants who are no more than 3 years from their doctorate degree and are willing to spend at least 3 years in the lab will be considered with priority. Studies focus on human disease, animal disease models and retinal development. Salary is based on candidate’s experience and current NIH guidelines.
