POSTDOCTORAL POSITION,

Hematology and Medical Oncology-Gastrointestinal Oncology Research Laboratory

Weill Cornell Medical College seeks a highly ambitious professional for a postdoctoral position focused on translational research to discover new treatment strategies of gastrointestinal malignancies.  The work will be performed under the supervision of Dr. Manish Shah, Associate Professor of Medicine in collaboration with several leading scientists including Paraskevi Giannakakou, Associate Professor of Pharmacology, Maureen Lane, Assistant Research Professor of Molecular Biology in Medicine, and Vivek Mittal, Associate Professor of Medicine, Director of the Neuberger Berman Laboratory.  Emphasis on molecular biology, independence, and ability to coordinate work within multiple research groups is sought. The applicant would be joining a highly supportive and interactive research team.

Requirements:  PhD and/or MD degree.  Molecular biology and cell culture experience. QPCR, ChIP assay, microarray assays, a basic understanding of microarray analytical statistical considerations, and ideally flow cytometry.

Appointments are for one year, with renewal based upon satisfactory performance and funding availability.
