Biochemistry Postdoctoral position 2013 Greece

Postdoctoral position advertised to carry out research concerning the analysis of the region around the node of Ranvier in myelinated fibers during demyelination and remyelination. Degree in Biochemistry/Biology and relevant PhD is required. Research experience is also required in working with transgenic animals, with models of de- and remyelination in vivo and in vitro, biochemical analysis of axoglial protein complexes.

Funding is provided by the Greek Secretariat for Research and Technology under the program ARISTEIA. The selected candidate will work in a 10-member laboratory dedicated to research in the biology of myelin. He/she will work with a group of PhD students and other postdoctoral fellows so good communication and collaborative skills are also required
