Immunology Postdoctoral position 2013 - United States

The laboratory of Dr. Qing Yu at the Department of Immunology and Infectious Disease, the Forsyth Institute, has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow to study the function of cytokines and T cells in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases, particularly SjÓ§gren’s syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.   For more information, please visit the website of Qing Yu lab:   http://www.forsyth.org/research/scientists/profiles/qyu.html

 The candidate should have a Ph.D. in immunology or a related field, and have considerable knowledge and skills in both cellular and molecular immunology.  Proficient skills in multi-color flow cytometry and live mouse handling and injections are required.  Skills in DNA cloning, gene over-expression and silencing in cells, immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy, real-time PCR, in vitro stimulation and functional assays of lymphocytes or other immune cells, and ELISA are preferred.  Previous experience in studying immune-mediated diseases is preferred.  Interested individuals should send CV (including a summary of research skills, publication list and contact information for 2-3 references) to:   qyu@forsyth.org
