The Mass General Hospital Cancer Center
is a world-renowned institution for cancer biology and translational
research. A postdoctoral position is immediately available to study
fundamental mechanisms of human tumorigenesis and their
application in cancer therapy. Topics of interest include the p53
family of transcription factors, tumor metabolism and signaling through
the mTOR kinase pathway, and the influence of tumor-specific genomic
changes on tumor evolution and the therapeutic response. Research
approaches in the laboratory are uniquely positioned at the interface of
biochemistry, cell biology and translational research based on human
tumor genetic analysis.
The position involves joint academic
appointments at MGH andHarvardMedicalSchool, providing a rich
intellectual environment within a large and dynamic research community.
