A postdoctoral position is available in the Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The main focus of the lab is to study interplay of extracellular matrix-integrin signaling and trafficking of membrane transporters (mainly water channels and vasopressin receptor V2R) and epithelial polarity complex, how “epithelial features” is established/remodeled during kidney development and after tubular injury, and understand the epithelial repairing process mediated by tubular “progenitor” cells. We are applying comprehensive approaches and model systems including real time imaging, 3D culture, organ culture, transgenic mouse and zebrafish models for the study. We are looking for highly motivated and devoted candidates with PhD and/or MD degrees and solid training in cellular and molecular biology and biochemistry. Individuals with research experience in protein trafficking, epithelial cell biology and/or kidney development/physiology are particularly welcome to apply.
