Postdoctoral research position available immediately for highly motivated candidate to help develop gene expression approaches for biological dosimetry, and to study the effects of different radiation modalities (dose, dose-rate, LET, organ-specific effects).

The laboratory is part of the Center for Radiological Research (http://crr-cu.org/) in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University.  Some of the research will involve use of our Radiation Research Accelerator Facility (http://www.raraf.org/) located just outside New York City in Westchester County.

Successful candidates must have experience in cellular and molecular biology, especially RNA work, as well as excellent communication skills, and a high level of proficiency in one or more of the following areas:  radiation biology, microarray and bioinformatics, mouse work, biodosimetry.
