Germany Postdoc position in Immunology

We are looking for a Postdoc (m/f) in Immunology

The candidate will join the newly established Stroke-Immunology Group at the Institute
for Stroke and Dementia Research of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich
(www.isd-muc.de). We are interested in the interactions between the immune system
and the brain after acute brain injury with a particular focus on how sterile brain injuries
modulate the systemic immune response. Using a broad panel of cutting edge methods
in immunology and neuroscience we aim to detect the pathophysiological mediators of
immunomodulation after acute brain injury and the long-term effects on remote organ
function.

We offer a Postdoctoral scientist position in an international and dynamic atmosphere with
access to state of the art laboratory facilities. As part of the excellence cluster “Munich Cluster
for Systems Neurology (SyNergy)” (www.synergy-munich.de) and active collaborator on the
large biomedical campus in Munich we provide a highly collaborative research environment.

We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with experience in immunology and cell biology. Advanced knowledge in flow cytometry, cell culture and cell biology as well as excellent communication skills in English are a prerequisite. Additional experience in neuroimmunology or neuroscience is favourable but not necessary.

Salary is according to TV-L. The position is limited for two years, with a possible extension.

Disabled persons will be preferentially considered in case of equal qualifications. Presentation costs can not be refunded.

Please send a cover letter outlining your research interest and work experience, a CV,
two letters of recommendation and key publications as one pdf file to Dr. Arthur Liesz at Arthur.Liesz@med.uni-muenchen.de.
