Applicants should hold a PhD in Neuroscience or related discipline and will ideally have previous experience in the area of neurogenesis. A keen interest in mechanisms underpinning neuroinflammation and stress is essential. He/she should be proficient across a range of techniques including, but not limited to stereotactic surgery, viral vector technology, behavioural analysis relevant to cognition, immunocytochemistry and stereology. Experience in in vivo electrophysiology is desired. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both in a collaborative environment and with personal initiative are essential. A proven track record of first-author publications in peer reviewed journals is also essential as is an ability to play a leadership role and have mentorship experience.
