The research group Neuroplasticity at the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology in Magdeburg, Germany, is seeking for a talented young neuroscientist for a project on synapse-to-nucleus signalling in neuropsychiatric / neurodegenerative disorders. A strong background in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry is required and expertise in synapse biology is expected. The position is available within the Marie Curie Initial Training Network “NPlast” which is funded by the 7th EU Framework Program (www.nplast.de). The position is initially available for 24 months and can be extended. The position can be filled immediately but the starting date can be negotiated. Applicants have to be in the first 5 years of their research careers and already in possession of a doctoral degree. For all applicants the EU rules of mobility will apply. Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main research activity in the country of the host institution for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to their recruitment.
