Postdoctoral Research position in Bacterial Pathogenesis, USA

A new research lab at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking individuals at the postdoctoral level to join an energetic and dedicated research team, devoted to understanding how bacterial gene regulation influences gene transfer and bacterial survival in natural and urban environments. Ongoing research projects focus on unraveling regulatory links between acquired genetic elements and responses to desiccation in bacterial pathogens. Our group places an emphasis on using cutting-edge technologies in sequencing and proteomics.
Applicants must have first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals and be highly motivated. A strong background in microbiology and molecular genetics desired. A basic understanding of programming and network analysis is a plus.
