- The Center for Modeling, Simulation and Imaging in Medicine (CeMSIM) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA invites applications for the position of postdoctoral associate to work on multiple projects funded by the NIH on in vivo/ in situ soft tissue experimentation and modeling. Projects involve performance of experiments, constitutive modeling and inverse finite element analysis to determine soft tissue properties from image data.Desirable background for this position includes:· PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field.· Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition.· Knowledge of soft tissue biomechanics and modeling.· Knowledge and experience in ultrasound elastography.· Knowledge of finite element modeling, particularly inverse finite element methods
