We are in search of junior postdoc for immediate apointment. We have different parellel projects in progress. Major research focus is on mitochondria-nuclear cross talk in cancer. However we have also other areas interest like, higher order chromatin regulation and nano bioimaging. The lab will utilize interdisciplinary approaches to investigate the epigenetic changes and nuclear-mitochondrial cross talk in cancer.
Candidate with previous experience in mitochondria or one of the above areas will get preference. Experience in miRNA research will be a strong plus.
Candidate should be interested in breast and prostate cancer research. The candidates are expected to perform independently and work in a collaborative environment. We use cell and molecular biology, microscopy, flowcytometry, in vivo animal experiments as well as microarray analysis for our projects.
Our lab is located in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. Since Baylor is one of the premier institutes, candidates will be able work with different core facilities and well known research laboratories. Among genetics departments at U.S. medical schools, the department continues to rank high in both grants and funding from NIH. In addition, there are various career development programs available for Baylor postdocs.
