There is an immediate opening for a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, Universityof Californiaat Irvine. The candidate is expected to carry out mass spectrometry-based proteomic and biochemical approaches to study interactions, structures and posttranslational modifications of protein complexes in the ubiquitin-proteasome system and thus understand the function and regulation of protein complexes during cancer development. The lab is equipped with a LTQ-Orbitrap mass spectrometer (Thermofisher) and several HPLC systems for protein and peptide analysis.  Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry or related fields is required, and experience in protein expression and purification is preferred. Skills and knowledge in molecular and cell biology, and/or protein and peptide separation will be a plus. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual with a strong record of research accomplishments.  Please email your current CV with the list of publications and the contact info of three referees to Prof. Lan Huang (lanhuang@uci.edu).
