Senior postdoctoral position Inflammation 2013 - Switzerland

A senior postdoctoral position in the field of inflammation is available in the Hottiger group as of Mai 1st 2013 at the Institute of Veterinary Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the University of Zurich. The own group significantly shaped our current understanding and the field of ADP-ribosylation during the last 12 years. Our main scientific interest is to understand inflammatory signaling and in particular the initial signaling events that regulate NF-kappaB-dependent gene expression in the nucleus (http://www.vetbio.uzh.ch/Research/profHottiger.html).
We offer a stimulating research environment and dynamic interactions between science researchers. The institute is equipped with state of the art biochemical, molecular and cell-biological instruments.
The successful applicant will take part in ongoing research activities focusing on molecular signaling aspects during inflammation processes. Work includes biochemical and molecular biology methods as well as cell culture and animal experiments.
The position requires a solid training in molecular biology and cell biology, preferably with at least two years of postdoctoral experience. Candidates with experience in metabolic studies are preferred. The applicants should be highly motivated, ready to work in a team and have a strong publication record. The position is financed for 24 months. The place of work is University Zurich Irchel (Winterthurerstrasse 190, 8057 Zurich).
