PostDoc position in the field of Material-Cell-Interface Research
The activities of the Postdoc position are focused on cell biology in context with mainly graphene based nanomaterials. To achieve new insides in their biological effects, in vitro studies are a pre-requisite to evaluate the biological effects of these materials. The candidate will develop and optimize advanced in vitro assays and use those for assessing the underlying molecular mechanism in order to support a safe and sustainable use of graphene based applications.
The candidate is expected to work with different cell types, including class II primary human cells.
The candidate should have a PhD degree in Biology, Bioengineering, or related disciplines. We are looking for a highly motivated person capable of independent, efficient handling of scientific and industrial related projects in an interdisciplinary environment. The candidate is expected to actively bring in his/her scientific expertise and competence. Experience in cell biology and molecular biology are highly desired. Good skills in general biology, genetic engineering and biochemistry are of advantage. The position (100%) will be limited to two and a half years with options for an extension.
The candidate should to be fluent in English and preferably has agood knowledge of German.
