The German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases
(DZNE) is a center of excellence within the Helmholtz Association that
performs translational research on neurodegenerative diseases. The
center includes nine high-performing sites in Bonn, Berlin, Dresden,
Göttingen, Magdeburg, Munich, Rostock/Greifswald, Tübingen and Witten.
We offer a position as Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m) – Code 1172/2013/3 –
within the group of Dr. Ehninger at the DZNE site Bonn.
Our group is interested in the
molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cognitive impairments
associated with neurological disorders and brain aging. To this end, we
employ genetic mouse models and in depth behavioral assessment, combined
with molecular, physiological and imaging approaches. The group is also
interested in translating findings from preclinical models to human
populations.
We offer committed mentorship, exciting research
projects, an excellent scientific environment in an emerging major site
for translational neuroscience research, state-of-the-art facilities and
good funding. Selected references: Nature Medicine 2008, 14(8): 843-8;
