Postdoctoral Position in Systems Biology 2013 Germany


The Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) is an Excellence Centre for Life Science, funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, and located within the campus of the Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany. Applications are invited for Postdoc positions in the research group “Modeling of Biological Networks” . Our group applies mathematical modeling to understand cell-to-cell variability and the dynamics of gene regulatory networks.
You will:
• Develop mechanistic mathematical models of intracellular regulatory networks
• Work in close collaboration with Dr. Legewie and other group members
• Be willing to collaborate with internal and external partners
Required qualifications:
• PhD in biology, physics, mathematics or a related discipline
• Background in biology and nonlinear dynamics
• One first author paper in an international peer reviewed journal
• Good written and spoken English
