Canada: Post-doctoral position at biomedical science at Hotchkiss Brain Institute

"A three-year post-doctoral position are available immediately in the auditory neuroscience laboratory at the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine.

Candidates shall have a background in biomedical science. Experience in electrophysiological techniques such as in vivo unit firing recording and/or patch clamping is required. Knowledge and work experience in in vivo patch clamping are preferred. Postdoctorial candidates should be able to work independently, and also provide guidance to junior members in the laboratory. Successful candidates will focus on the contribitions of thalamocortical systems to input-specific plasticity of the audtiory cortex. Stipend of Postdoctoral fellow starts from $38,500 (Canadian dollar) plus benefit and is in accordance with the guidelines of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the University of Calgary.
