Postdoc position Microbiology/ Biochemistry 2013, Germany

Research of structure, function, biosynthesis and host interaction of bacterial cell envelope components word wide has attracted more and more interest in the recent years. Members of the SFB 766 have contributed to this development: The SFB 766 has already generated a strong international reputation in it`s first 4 year funding period.

In the second funding period we have one open positions for two years for a

PhD student or postdoc (E13, 65%) with the topic

"The bacterial cell envelope as a target structure for dermcidin"

PhD students or postdocs will work on a challenging project at the frontier of the current research. The research group is located at the University Hospital, Department of Dermatology.

The candidate should have a completed diploma / master degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry or related disciplines and a strong background and interest in genetic,biochemical or biophysical methods and microbiological procedures.
