The Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Research position in the laboratory of Dr. Joseph DeSimone. Our research focus is on the epigenetic regulation of gene expression during hematopoietic stem cell differentiation. Our aim is to increase the understanding of hemoglobin switching with the goal of developing innovative hemoglobinopathies therapies.
We seek highly qualified, dedicated and highly motivated individuals with a commitment to research excellence and with experience in ChIP and bisulfate sequence analysis and hematopoietic progenitor cell purification from primary bone marrow cells. Research experience in animal models would be an advantage. The candidate should have a pro-active attitude and able to contribute to papers.
